Purl two, knit two, drop two

Why not make it yourself?

Knitting is for Grannies? Only people who have nothing better to do crochet? And what in heaven’s name is macramé? What sounds like double Dutch to non-knitters and those with two left thumbs has long since reconquered a firm place in our living rooms, in fashionable cafés and on the underground. And deservedly so. Don’t agree? Just give it a go. But be careful, it’s addictive. Start off with something easy. Knitting a scarf is easy-peasy. You can find instructions on the internet or in every specialist shop. Meet up and do it with friends, make yourselves cosy. You can have a great chat and enjoy yourselves. And it always feels amazing once it’s finished. With a bit of practice, you could make coveted presents part of your repertoire. Christmas, famously, comes around every year.
